About Julie Murphy, APRN, WHNP
Let us help identify and correct the root causes
of your persistent roadblocks to great health and longevity.

Julie Murphy, APRN, WHNP is board certified in Women’s Health by the National Certification Corporation. She attained her bachelor’s degree in nursing from College of St. Benedict/St. John’s University in 1991 and began her nursing career at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, MN. She worked as a clinic manager for a majority of her time as an RN prior to attaining her Masters of Science in Nursing in 2013 from the University of Cincinnati. Having 3 daughters herself, Julie felt it was a perfect fit to specialize in women’s health. She spent most of her life in Minnesota and 2 years in Arizona prior to her relocation to Texas.
Since becoming a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner, Julie has attended many conferences through American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M) along with yearly hormone replacement symposiums through Professional Compounding Center of America (PCCA). She has had extensive training in bio-identical hormone replacement therapy. She works with women at every unique stage of life from teen years through post menopause. She can address the many issues they face in the early years including PMS, menstrual cycle disorders, PCOS, migraines and mood disorders through the transition to menopause when they experience fatigue, weight gain, hot flashes/night sweats, sleep disorders, low libido, cognitive changes and bone deterioration. Often times, women experience a multitude of symptoms that are associated with hormone imbalances, yet never get a hormone evaluation.
Julie is also passionate about the field of functional medicine. She partners with her patients to understand their genetic, biochemical and lifestyle factors that influence health. Julie is dedicated to a holistic approach that focuses on health and wellness, patient centered prevention and treating imbalances that lead to chronic disease. She utilizes strategies such as nutrition, exercise, detoxification programs and nutraceuticals along with stress management to empower patients to optimize health and well-being. Julie will work with her patients to get to the root cause of symptoms. She will look beyond hormones and help women struggling with thyroid, auto-immune conditions, digestive issues, stress/cortisol imbalances as well as insulin resistance and cardiovascular risk.
Outside of work, Julie enjoys spending time with her husband and visiting her 4 children. She is the youngest of 10 siblings and can often be found spending time with her extended family. Julie has been a lifelong runner, but now enjoys strength building and yoga as well. She enjoys cooking, travel, golf and pretty much any outdoor activity.
