Dr. Sharolyn Dihigo has practiced as a Nurse Practitioner for over 20 years. She began her career as a board certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP) after completing a Dual Role Masters of Science in Nursing as a PNP and Nurse Educator from the University of Texas at Arlington. She also completed a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry from Arizona State University in 2010. In 2011, she received the highest degree awarded to nurse practitioners, the Doctor of Nursing Practice clinical doctorate. Shortly after, Dr. Dihigo decided to expand her scope of practice to be able to treat the entire family and completed her Family Nurse Practitioner Post Master’s from Case Western Reserve University with a special focus in integrative medicine and women’s health.
Dr. Dihigo’s career has focused serving as a clinician and an educator. For fourteen years, she served as an Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Texas at Arlington where she taught in the doctoral and nurse practitioner programs. Dr. Dihigo loves to teach and has spoken locally and nationally on a variety of subjects from colicky babies to women’s hormones. Her specialty areas include treating Chronic Fatigue, Epstein Barr Virus, Thyroid and Hormone Imbalances, Food Allergies, Leaky Gut, Depression and Anxiety, Colicky babies, and anything in the pediatric realm.
Sharolyn lives in Grand Prairie with her husband, two huskies, and two kitties. She has one son who is grown and lives in Austin, TX. Anyone who knows Dr. Dihigo knows she also has a passion for integrative veterinarian medicine and absolutely loves Siberian huskies.
